Statfjord B&C platform upgrade project was a complete fire & gas system changeout planned for years 2012-2016, in accordance with standard functional safety standards IEC 61508/61511 (SIL). The modification included: new hardware and software design, new AMS system, new fire water and foam pump controller, UPS power distribution, new operator stations, new engineering stations, new Critical Alarm Panel (CAP) and Large Screen Displays (LSD).
